Required Qualifications/Skills :
Significant and relevant knowledge and experience to include hands-on work on EMC and NetApp technology.
Strong hands on experience with EMC VMAX, NetApp FAS and Symantec Netbackup
Understanding of HA and DR concepts as applied to major Infrastructure areas (Compute, Storage & Network).
Experience with Symantec Netbackup SW 7.1+ backup utilities to include DE Duplication and library tape management
Experience with Disaster Recovery technologies, replication & recovery, preferably EMC SRDF and Time finder
Experience with Brocade DCX SAN fabric management and software suite of tools
Strong working knowledge of EMC VMAX, Solution Enabler/Unisphere, Create and manage Virtual pools Deploy and monitor FAST VP, Perform VLUN migration as needed
Hands on experience with Netapp ONTAP, EMC Data domain NAS replication technologies for File based storage solutions.
Experience in the use, implementation, and troubleshooting of hardware and equipment commonly used in backup and recovery environments, Data Domain Enterprise platform, storage devices (RAID arrays), storage area networks/fiber cabling, SAN switches/zoning, HBAs (SCSI and Fiber), NICs, network (Ethernet)
Requires minimum support or supervision and is able to solve most issues and/or challenges independently
A service oriented approach, with the ability to focus on and deliver assigned tasks in a timely manner
Ability to work effectively in a team based environment with demonstrated willingness to support team on all levels to get the job done
Strong knowledge of EMC VMAX, or similar high-end SAN Arrays including LUN allocation/masking, performance, capacity management and remote replication
Strong knowledge and experience with NAS technologies and protocols such as NFS and CIFS
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Requirements :
Hands on design, configuration and support within shared storage environment covering the following heterogeneous platforms: UNIX AIX, UNIX Solaris, LINUX RHEL, HP HP/UX, Unisys MCP, IBM z/OS, Windows Enterprise Server edition
Relevant EMC/Netapp certifications such as NCDA, EMCISA.
Understanding of UNIX & Windows Volume Manager Configuration & Administration.
Knowledge and experience with VMware a plus
Knowledge of Storage Resource Monitoring (SRM) of heterogeneous SAN storage environments to report usage and trending to provide reports to management on scheduled basis
Brocade SAN directors and FCIP routers.
Replication Design & Hands-on Implementation of EMC SRDF and Timefinder
Knowledge of Windows & SUN UNIX systems, & usage of connectivity with HBA devices
Perl/Korn/Shell scripting
Project planning using MS Project
Understanding of inline encryption technologies
strong Windows 2000/2003/2008 client support experience
Have broad and deep experience configuring backup storage hardware including tape libraries, tape drives, VTL, and disk storage units within NetBackup

Description :
Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Tape Backup/Restore technology in a mission critical enterprise environment.
Daily effective and efficient management of SAN/NAS storage and backup infrastructure.
Close collaboration with server, database and application data owners
Track and manage service requests, enterprise storage usage and performance.
Work closely with Storage/SAN/NAS and Backup Systems clients, providing proactive feedback for effective and efficient operation.
Operational tasks such as storage provisioning, decommissioning, documentation, troubleshooting, request and problem management.
Follow standardized procedures as outlined in internal documents. communicate periodically with users on status, including changes, problems, enhancements, and potential impacts
Basic Qualifications/Skills/Requirements :
College degree or equivalent work experience.
5 + years SAN/NAS Storage Background and knowledge of EMC Hardware SAN and NetApp Hardware FAS systems.
Working knowledge of current information technology in the financial industry
Up-to-date on current in state-of-the art and evolving storage and cloud technologies
Good communications skills (oral, written, and presentation).
Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills working with people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of an organization
Solid understanding of Physical fiber environment and experience in SAN fabric design and operation.
Solid understanding of SAN and NAS storage technologies
Experience with Vendor Management
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and perform under pressure
The ability to explore and create creative solutions to enhance information systems and business operations.
Ability to provide rotational 2nd & 3rd level 24x7 Oncall support for SAN/NAS storage and tape backup environments.
Ability, willingness and flexibility to work at a wide range of varying complexities, i.e. basic/simple as well as complex tasks/issues based on business need
