Job Title: Linux System Administrator

Start Date: 3/14/2016

End Date: 3/24/2017

Location: Rye, NY

Role Description:

-Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and non-production systems and software products and for configured services running on primarily UNIX platforms.

 

-Provide software support for software builds and deployment, development, and performance testing. Implement technology at the operating system-level across all server environments, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands.

 

-Work includes L2 and L3 intermediate and advanced level troubleshooting of servers, network interfaces, connectivity, storage, and all deployed applications; opening tickets with software vendors and participating in the planning and execution of all project work involving UNIX/LINUX systems.

 

Required Skills:

- Advanced Environments Management

- Advanced LINUX Redhat

- Advanced LINUX Scripting

- Advanced LINUX Troubleshooting

- Project Planning

 

Additional Preferred Skills:

- Experience configuring and integrating Amazon Web Services

- Strong Communication Skills

- Proficient understanding of Oracle Database

- Understanding of Apache

- DevOps Experience (build tools: JIRA, SVN, ANT, MAVEN, CHEF, PUPPET, J-UNIT, etc.)
