Job Title: Python Developer
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibility is to extract data from different sources/feeds, massage the data and load it to DB. Thus loaded data will be used by Analyst and QR teams
Development in Linux/Python and C++ (some modules), SQL Server,
Fine-tuning SQL queries for optimization and efficiency
REQUIREMENTS:
4+ years of professional software development experience
Understanding of Functional Programming Concepts
Strong in SQL -CRUD, Procedures/Functions and optimization
Good Python programming and Linux commands
Intermediate to good knowledge of C++
Experience is working and understanding of disparate yet related data sets and be able to correlate them together
BUSINESS ACCUMEN:
Experience in Finance domain is a plus.
EDUCATION OR CERITIFICATIONS:
Master of Science or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar certifications to support technical knowledge
