Overview:
The Senior Datawarehouse Developer will interface with users and IT to evaluate and help implement new technologies desired by the business for their strategic objectives. The expectation is that this role requires technological expertise to advise the business on solutions related to their reporting and analytical needs.
Skills & Experience:
· At least 10 years of experience and understanding analytic applications including, SAS, COGNOS, and /or Web Focus as well as experience in SQL, ETL and Data Warehousing
· Must have 6 or more years of demonstrated expertise in understanding data analysis, data modeling, database design, data migration data storage and agile project methodology. Also desired is a familiarity with Big Data tools and applications
· Demonstrated experience in applying or consulting on multiple technologies and finding an acceptable business solution. Reviewed proposed technology solutions and made recommendations for enhancements.
· Strong skills in communication, leadership, presentations to leadership, problem solving, project management, team development and the ability to explain succinctly technical design, detail and issues to the business customer
· Extensive experience in working on large complex IT projects with the business
· The ability to research issues and evaluate technologies to provide recommendations to the business including the appropriate parties in any decision making – critical thinking but the ability to engage the correct parties
· Demonstrated success in a similar role where projected outcomes were established and achieved
· Demonstrated ability to learn organizational functions and provide analytic insight into the functions beyond Reporting and Analytics
· Experience in following a project from idea to post-delivery while collecting ideas and enhancements that could be provided during or after a project
· Demonstrated ability and commitment to learn new technologies
· Requires a "Hot skills" set across multiple technologies.
