Position: Oracle DBA with Data Guard and RAC
Location: Waltham, MA
Duration: 6 - 12 Months
VISA Status: No Constraints
Pay Rate: $Open/hr on C2C
No of Positions: 2
Position Description:
Our client needs a contract DBA to do the Data Guard Setup for their DR Site. Here's what skills we would need
· 3-5 years experience with Oracle Data Guard with RAC.
· Ability to configure and fail over Data Guard Manually.
Tasks to be completed:
· Setup Create and Recreate scripts to manually create a Standby database
· Configure all the log transport processes.
· Setup procedures to failover to Standby
· Setup procedures to switch back to Primary Database
· Estimate the amount of time we have to stay at the standby site before we have to recreate the primary database
· We only have so much space to hold log files on the standby before we lose them.
· Setup Recreate scripts to recreate the primary database
· Document the processes and hand off the process to an internal resource.
· Maybe use the QA environment to setup a test first, internal resource will help with that
