Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Carson City – NV

Duration: 3+ Months

Required Skills:

·         Three (3) years of business intelligence, data analytics and reporting experience;

·         Five (5) years of large scale information technology (IT) implementation project experience;

·         Two (2) years of Project Management (PM) leadership experience on large scale information technology projects;

·         Successful project team experience on IT projects;

·         Experience participating in and contributing to Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions;

·         Extensive coordination abilities between business and technology groups such as, but not limited to:  agency operations and technical operations;

·         Ability to analyze and resolve difficult logic and process issues;

·         Effective documentation, verbal and written communications skills;

·         Ability to communicate difficult concepts to technical and non-technical staff;

·         Ability to communicate succinctly and accurately in both written and verbal English;

·         Familiarity with IT standard documentation and best practices;

·         Demonstrated ability in analytical and planning skills;

·         Two (2) years of proven project management methodology and tool experience;

 

Demonstrated ability in four (4) or more of the following project manager competencies:

·               Scope Definition

·               Communications Planning

·               Resource Planning

·               Schedule Development

·               Risk Management

·               Project Monitoring

·               Project Budget Management

·               Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

·               Change Control and Configuration Management

·               Project Reporting

·               Activity Definition and Sequencing

·               Project Execution and Control

 

·         Professional behavior and a positive, determined, patient attitude when dealing with people;

·         Ability to work independently and in a team environment; and

·         The ability to balance creativity, problem solving and technical skills to realize project success.
