Role: QA Tester with Point-of-Sale (POS)
Start date: As soon as possible
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6 months only, can extend depending on the candidate skill set
· 3 to 5 years of work experience directly related to test engineering, preferably in the payment/transaction processing, or point of sale industry
· Hardware/firmware testing experience, especially with terminals and payment systems
· Knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) Industry and Integrated / Embedded Solutions is needed
· Well familiar with Terminals, identify the issues in the terminals, do adk on the terminals, install apps on the terminal, login into the terminal and debug etc
· Develops QA testing solutions / tools by designing, developing, and installing software
· Knowledge and experience with TCP/IP, USB, serial, and/or other common forms of interface connectivity
· Expertise in Manual Testing in Agile and Scrum model
· Manage creation of test specifications, test processes, test schedules, test plans, test results reporting, problem reproduction/investigation and root cause analysis
· Familiarity with commonly used quality assurance process tools used for defect-tracking and test case management
· Good Analytical, Interpersonal and communication skills. Result oriented, committed and hard working with a quest to learn new technologies and undertake challenging tasks
