Position: Java Developer
Location- Midtown Atlanta
Duration- 8 months
Need only USC and GC holders.
4+ years of experience working with databases preferably SQL Server.
* 4+ years of experience in developing ETL Processes including the use of SSIS packages in a Microsoft SQL Server database environment.
* 4+ years of extensive experience working in the MS SQL Server 2005, 2008 R2, and 2012 environments.
* 4+ years of experience in Visual Studio 2005, 2008, 2010, and 2012, utilizing either C# or Visual Basic
Skills and Knowledge (be specific about level of proficiency required for each)
* Understanding and knowledge of Query Optimization, Execution Plans, Index Tuning, and Statistics, along with the ability to offer techniques to improve query performance
* Competent in environments with multiple database types such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
* Expert level In T-SQL in regards to ad-hoc queries, stored procedures, tables, views, and user defined functions.
* Working technical knowledge with multiple types of database design concepts: RDBMS, ODS, Star and Snowflake schemas, normalization.
* Expert level proficiency in SSIS for ETL and extraction processes
* Medium to Expert level proficiency in SSRS in order to author reports
* Medium to Expert level proficiency in SSAS in order to author cubes
* Expert level proficiency in Visual Studio in order to author and maintain data applications
* Understanding of database security and knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
* Ability to Identify and Correct database contention issues
* Strong written, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
* Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
* Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
