Senior Consulting Engineer - Active Directory
· Staff Augmentation Position
· Approximately 6 months duration
· Work under the general direction of the Project Technical Lead
· Requires experience in large AD design, upgrades and deployments
· Be able to understand AD Site Topologies including Site Links
· Work with Jones Day engineers to assist with Admin responsibilities.
· Approximately 40 Windows Server 2008 R2 Domain Controllers need to be upgraded to Windows Server 2012 R2
· Some DCs are located in international locations
· Customer wants to consolidate the number of DCs. This will requires analysis to understand current DC locations, use and system design before making any recommendations.
· Customer also wants high availability built into the new system design.
· Consultant will need to have experience in large AD DS upgrades and deployment.
Other
· Prefer knowledge of Active Directory Federation Services.
· Prefer understanding of Microsoft auto connect
· Prefer understanding of Microsoft Direct Access
· Prefer understanding of other AD FS technologies (Okta, etc.)
· Prefer experience working with law firms
· Prefer experience with Microsoft Project
Responsibilities
· Lead / Assist with the upgrade of a large international AD DC upgrade
· Coordination of the AD DC upgrade to include arranging meetings, providing the PMO with status reporting, updates, identification of issues and roadblocks.
Background Information
· Customer is moving to Office 365 in the next 2 years.
· Looking at AD FS for use with O365
