Position: Java Developer
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: Contract for 06 months
Job Description:
Qualifications
• 7+ years of software development experience, and preferably a BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline
• Demonstrated experience with Waterfall, Agile or other rapid application development methods
• Strong experience in implementing and managing high performance scalable J2EE applications on Linux/Unix platforms
• Strong experience with multiple facets of the Spring Framework - Spring MVC2.X/3.X (Web/webmvc/beans/jdbc/web services/batch/integration)
• Core competencies in distributed technologies (Java, J2EE, Struts, Restful and SOAP web services, MQ, XML (JAXB, JAXP),Quartz (Scheduler), Log4J)
• Hands on experience in Multi-threading programming
• Hands on experience writing complex SQL queries
• Working knowledge of application servers/containers (WAS, JBOSS, etc)
• Hands on experience in caching technology products (Memcache, EHCache, Hazelcast, etc)
• Strong object oriented design and design patterns experience
• Strong understanding of Source Control and Dependency Management tools
• Commitment to software practices of Continuous Integration, automated/repeatable testing, and collaborative work environments
• Experience with payments technology and industry is a plus
• Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges, and articulate solutions
• Ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problems
• Ability to enable business capabilities through innovation
• Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and takes pride in how fast they develop working software
