Job Title : Sr. Android Developer
Location : Denver, CO
Duration : 6+ month contract
Contribute as a core member on product development team involved in new feature releases and maintenance on the android platform. They will be doing Android 5 TV development/Android Mobile App Development
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design advanced streaming applications on the Android Platform.
Develop new features from provided requirements and UX designs.
Solve software bugs and improve application optimization and efficiency.
Collaborate with other developers, UX/UI Designers, and QA teams.
Continuously discover and explore new development trends and implementations.
Interact with the services team to evolve client APIs.
Participate in peer code reviews and regular scrums.
Achieve milestones.
Desired Skills and Experience
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, other technical discipline or equivalent experience.
Minimum five years of software development experience with minimum three years development on Android in a professional setting.
Knowledge of computer science principles including object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures and algorithms.
Keen eye for good design and user experience.
Remote data access experience via JSON.
Experience with 3rd party libraries and APIs
Experience with GIT.
Experience working with Jira and related Atlassian tools.
Other client development experience is a plus.
5 years of professional experience in mobile application Android Development
Proficient in Android application development.
Able to develop and architect multiple Android applications across versions
Must possess a good understanding of Android UI guidelines.
Experience in implementing native libraries in application by using the Android NDK.
Proficient in developing Android Framework Services using Intent, Services and AIDL.
Experience in using Storage options in Android like Shared Preferences.
Experience in using Fragments, Activity workflow, ActionBar Navigation, Menu designs and view controls, and Loaders.
Experience in using debugging tools like Logcat, ADB, fastboot and Hcidump.
Proficient with common Android Framework API's (Location, Camera, Notifications, Maps
If they have previous development experience in Java or other applications.
