SUMMARY:
An experienced application developer is sought to support the Liquidity Program sponsored by CFO departments to enhance our liquidity reporting and monitoring processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
The primary responsibility for this role is to support the delivery of liquidity reports required for US regulatory compliance. Prior implementation experience supporting regulatory reporting requirements for the financial services industry is expected, along with proficiency in programming data warehouse solutions using relevant technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and develop OBIEE reports and User Interfaces to support functional verification processes and controls required to ensure completeness and accuracy of regulatory reports required by CFO users for internal monitoring and external submission to regulators
• Closely liaise with BA's from project team to understand relevant business processes and functional requirements
• Support test execution and resolution of technical issues identified during test phases prior to deployment of new reporting enhancements required for Liquidity Program projects to which role has been assigned
WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:
• 5+ years IT experience, including 2 years in the financial services industry
• Familiarity with liquidity risk reporting and management functions or experience with regulatory reporting
• Demonstrated ability to design and develop effective technical solutions for data warehousing applications, including OBIEE reports and user dashboards
• Proficiency in data warehousing techniques for data cleansing, slowly changing dimensions, surrogate key assignment, indexes, and change data capture
• Ability to design relational data models and data warehouse star\snow flake schema, and dimensional models using Erwin tool
• Excellent understanding of database concepts, and expertise in use of SQL, PL/SQL
• Ability to write clear and accurate technical documentation, including development of data dictionary, data flow diagrams, and plans for data transformation and load into a warehouse environment
• Prior experience developing in Oracle 11g environment, including hands-on work in database performance tuning/partitioning and writing UNIX / PERL scripts
• Familiarity with configuration management practices and procedures
• Ability to manage timelines while working on deliverables for multiple projects and/or phases
• Ability to demonstrate self-initiative as well as take direction and escalate issues as appropriate
• Strong problem solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact with technical and functional staff at all levels
• Understanding of all phases of an application development life cycle and development methodologies
