.Net Developer with JIRA & BANKING EXP

Duration: 6 month
Must Have Strong Investment Banking Experience
Experience with JIRA is required
There is an immediate need for a self-motivated individual to fill a developer role supporting the Index and Analytics business group.
The preferred candidate will have strong .NET development and application support skills, experience and knowledge of Microsoft technologies.
This is a great opportunity for an individual to get exposure to index and analytics products in a variety of markets, working directly with other IT developers, business users and global shared services.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Understand and analyze existing application platform architecture in order to manage the migration from current end of life software, OS and infrastructure to latest supported platform.
Learn existing production applications and systems and provide L3 support
Develop and maintain new systems and applications in MS environment (.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server)
Regression/sanity testing before component release
Manage releases to production environment, working directly with global shared service teams to document release requirements and coordinate shared services activities with developers through final production sign-off
Required Background and Skills:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience with JIRA is required
4+ years experience working in Information Technology or a related technical field
3+ years experience working in C# / .Net systems & Microsoft related technology
3+ years experience ASP.NET
2+ years experience with MS SQL Server
2+ years experience in application support
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong planning and organization skills
Ability to work independently and as a team
Must be able to work effectively with clients and team members locally and globally
Highly analytical, proactive and detail oriented
Quick Learner, able to recognize opportunities for improvement and act on them with little supervision
Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from inception to deployment, documentation and user training
Knowledge of many of the following Microsoft technologies (.NET, ASP.NET, classic ASP, SQL Server, C#)
Classic ASP knowledge a plus
Experience working with source code control systems such as Subversion a plus
MS SSIS knowledge or experience a plus
Experience in QA a plus
