Position:: Network Architect

Location:: San Jose, CA

Duration:: Long term contract

 

Description::

·         A minimum of 10 years' experience in an IP Network Architect role, or similar experience, supporting carriers, ISP or other large service-providing networks. (For Juniper + Cisco platform)

·         In depth understanding of Carrier Class products such as MPLS-ICI, IP/MPLS VPN, VPLS, E-LAN, E-Access, Managed Security, IP SLA Performance Monitoring

·         In depth understanding of TCP, MPLS, IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, LDP, RSVP, Traffic Engineering, PWE3 and other networking protocols.

·         In depth understanding of designing and managing network security.

·         In depth understanding of Carrier Ethernet, SONET, DWDM and ATM networks..

·         Expertise in reading and understanding standards documents from IEEE, IETF, ITU-T, MEF, and BBF.

·         Hands-on experience configuring Juniper & Cisco IP Routers (including Nv Satelite, Nv Cluster) is strongly preferred. Recent experience with Network Function Virtualization, Software Defined Networking, OpenFlow, and VX-LAN is strongly preferred.

·         Possess a strong knowledge of the engineering and operational challenges of large service networks.

·         Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Computer Science or other related disciplines (B.S. Required, M.S. Highly Preferred).

·         Certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CCDE, CCDP, JNCIS, JNCIP etc. are given a preference
