(Job) SAP BPC Techno-Functional Consultant in New York City, NY

This is our direct-client opening for an SAP BPC Techno-Functional Consultant located in New York City, NY. This is a 6+ month contract and our client prefers local candidates to the area since a face to face interview will be required, and they will not cover expenses. If a candidate is not local, he/she must be able to meet in-person at the New York office location.

The SAP BPC Consultant will report to the Manager of Business Intelligence and will be responsible for the successful delivery of functional and technical components of consolidations, budgeting and forecasting solutions using SAP Business Objects Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC). This individual acts with a sense of urgency and is the go-to person for our New York office team. This individual will apply functional and technical integration knowledge of SAP ERP tools, planning/BI systems and functional finance processes. The consultant will implement leading practices within the business planning cycles, including strategic, financial and operational planning. The consultant will perform hands-on BPC Planning design and configuration (reports, input schedules, script logic, allocations, distributions, etc).

Qualifications:
A finance degree or relevant background
Experience with SAP BPC and its interfaces to other models
Ability to travel as required
A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in the design, configuration, testing, debugging, delivery and support of SAP BPC solutions, including Building Application Sets/Environments, Build Dimensions (Members, Hierarchies, Properties, Dimension Formulas), Work Status, Business Rules, Business Process Flows
Security, Publishing/Offline Distribution, Configuring BPC Portal pages, Developing Script Logic
Configuring and scheduling Data Manager packages through BPC for Office (required)
Good understanding of Legal Consolidations, Budgeting and Forecasting processes
Exposure to SAP BI/BW
Experience with 3 full SAP project life cycles of significant size, scope and complexity, with at least 2 full cycle implementations in BPC
Excellent understanding of accounting principles in terms of consolidation and financial statements (balance sheets, Profit and Loss statements, etc.) is required
Background in SAP modules like SAP FI and SAP CO is required
Create Dimensions, complex SAP BPC reports and input schedules
Ability to create & maintain security model
Ability to gather requirements and translate these requirements into a design
Leads design and oversees development of a complex, cross-functional, multi- platform Application system.
Leads design and oversees complex, cross-functional, multi-platform business processes.
Advises client and develops complex technical architecture and design.
Reading and understanding of ABAP code; nice to have
Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions in complex environments by diagnosing and documenting all software errors encountered by customers.
Obtaining and analyzing log files and diagnostic material as appropriate.
Advise client on complex systems management plans and issues
Excellent written and oral communication skills
