Required Experience
· 6+ years of QA experience in Health Insurance marketplace
· 4+ years of experience in writing Test Cases creation, Execution and reporting bugs.
· Strong Working experience on scrum and sprints in Agile Methodology.
· Excellent communication skills, self-motivated and an efficient team player.
Essential Job Responsibilities
· Possess in-depth knowledge of Health Insurance Exchange key business workflows (Broker/Individual), CMS Healthcare and Medicare provider, plan, & payment systems
· Hands on experience with three tier architecture testing (Database, application and web servers)
· Experience in developing Broker Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Scenarios and test metrics at the broker/individual test scenario level as well as a test case level
· Work closely with the technical team to ensure functional requirements are accurate & complete and reflects customer needs & expectations.
· Candidate must have conceptual understanding of Linux.
· Strong experience in all levels of Testing such as Positive testing, Negative testing, Integration Testing, Functional Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
· Candidate should have ability to work with cross-functional teams on delivering project.
· Possess strong knowledge of healthcare terminology and extensive experience working on healthcare projects. Specialized experience in healthcare insurance domain.
· Extensive exposure of planning, execution and delivery of the small, medium and the large sized projects, ability to work independently and as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and using good business judgment
· Proven expertise in managing unplanned work as well as shortened testing cycles
· Experience using test management tools
· Experience using defect tracking and source control systems
· Strong technical foundation in web based applications
· Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, co-operative, result oriented with a quest to learn new technologies within short span and undertake challenging tasks.
· Demonstrated abilities to successfully document and communicate testing artifacts and issues to all levels of staff (technical and non-technical)
· Find creative and thorough ways to test and verify results; this includes testing functionality via the UI as well as testing via the 'backend' such as using SQL analyzer to write queries and look at records in the database, posting XML transactions into the system, scheduling jobs as part of the testing effort, and mimic real world scenarios.
