QE Engineer ( Selenium+ Java)
Location: Chandler , AZ
Job Summary: The QA Test Automation Engineer is responsible for the planning, developing/implementing the test planning, reviewing and creation of automated and manual functional tests. This QA Engineer will possess the necessary skills and experience to understand the infrastructure and develop automation scripts where applicable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Conduct technical verification and validation of new and incremental software releases.
· Create test plans, test cases and documented processes based on project documentation.
· Create and review testing automation software/scripts to improve performance and efficiencies, recommending best practices in manual and automated testing.
· Execute manual and automated system test cases to ensure functionality meets software and customer specification.
· Document and track defects and issues found during system testing.
· Proven experience in working and coordinating with both onshore and offshore members to assist with solving quality risks.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or a computer related discipline preferred, or the equivalent experience in computer related field.
· 3-5 plus years' experience in software development environment.
Technical Knowledge:
· Strong automated testing tool experience on Selenium. Proficient with Java/JavaScript on Selenium.
· Proven experience in testing of web based UI, JavaScript, CSS and backend testing required
· Experience in cross browser testing targeted at Chrome, Firefox, and other popular browsers.
· Proficient with quality tracking and testing tools (Quality Center, Rally).
· Understand database structures and design. Functional knowledge of technology: software programming, database concepts, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL.
· Proven experience in coordinating a distributed team (both onshore and offshore).
· Preferred Web Services testing experience.
· Understands agile methodologies (Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Continuous Deployment).
· Proven ability to execute test cases and log/track defects to ensure functionality meets software and customer specifications.
Interpersonal Skills:
· Thrives on challenging projects and the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
· Demonstrate strong leadership skills that can provide focus for a group to work together to produce a professional quality product.
