Role:                Sr. Linux Architect

Location:          Cumberland, RI

Duration:          6 months

Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills

 

Responsibilities

Create System Architecture documents including -

Driving out next generation technologies and concepts

System integration with DNS, proxy servers, networking and database systems

Web Server Integration

Understanding of how TCP sockets and enabling service on a Linux platform

 

In-depth knowledge of RHEL Experience in new server builds in RHEL 5.x/6.x Knowledge of IBM Virtualization(NPIV, SEA etc), VMware and ILO

knowledge of Kernel Pathingin Linux Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client/server environments.

Knowledge of EMC and ASM disk systems.

Knowledge of OS upgrades on RHEL.

In-depth hardware configuration knowledge

Network experience

Strong troubleshooting skills

Building Linux servers using Kick start

Experience in building Virtual Linux servers is a must

Experience in VMware ESX/I and V-center is a must. Adding storage groups and allocating of storage to a Virtual Linux machines, Troubleshooting Issues related to Virtual Linux related to ESX and VMware

Demonstrated initiative, customer orientation and team work competencies

Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people

 

Bonus Skills

Java apps running within a Linux environment

RHEL Certification in is preferable.
