9to9 Software Solutions is looking for SQL DBA for our client in Owensboro, KY.

Role: SQL DBA

Location: Owensboro, KY

Duration: 6-12+ Months + Extensions

Interview Type: Phone + Skype/Face-Face

Visa: ANY

 

Required Skills: 

·         SQL DBA - running scripts, scheduling jobs, migrating

·         Experience as a SQL DBA with resolving day to day production issues

·         Experience with SSRS

·         Excellent Communication skills

·         Microsoft SQL Server 2000-2012

·         Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

·         Microsoft Server 2003-2012,  Clustering and high-availability technologies, etc.

·         Source control libraries – PVCS and VSS

·         Application lifecycle management experience  (knowledge and understanding of code building and deploying processes and procedures)

·         Experience in Oracle Database technologies a plus

·         Experience in incident management systems such as Symantec Altiris Service Desk or similar

·         Linux and AIX operating system skills helpful but not required

·         Sybase and MS Access helpful but not required

·         Maintain and monitor SQL Server infrastructure

·         Migrate production code changes to production – SQL objects, .Net code, scripts, files, etc.

·         Monitoring and troubleshoot Database Backups (experience with Symantec NetBackup SQL agent a plus)

·         Setup SQL database mirroring for Disaster Recovery

·         Maintain and setup SQL Transactional replication

·         Refresh database preproduction environments

·         Modify and maintain various scripts – SQL, BAT, VB, Perl, etc.

·         Weekly report of accomplishments, issues and next tasks

·         Fast learner, Self-motivated

·         Able to follow policies and procedures

·         Clearly document processes

·         Adapts to changing priorities

·         Ability to work in a team environment
