Description:
The QA Lead consultant will work within the Client IT and business community to ensure systems meet the known and unknown business requirements of the user community with emphasis on optimal business processes in Supply Chain, specifically related to the DC2 DTC Expansion project.
The QA Lead consultant will coordinate and lead the testing efforts on the DC2 DTC Expansion project. He/she will lead the development and execution of the Testing Strategy in partnership with the Project Mgr. and the development of scenarios and test cases to ensure the software or code meets approved functional requirements. He/she will also be responsible for facilitating testing defect meetings, tracking and resolving testing defects, publishing status and updates, and coordinating testing schedules with testing resources to ensure the Validation process completes on a timely basis.
The QA Lead consultant must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment, able to multi-task across several issues simultaneously, and possess strong interpersonal communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical resources alike. The QA Lead for this project is expected to have good Onsite-Offshore co-ordination skills.
Project Specific Responsibilities or Qualifications:
Must have experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS)(minimum 2 years). Experience with Manhattan WMOS is preferred.
Must have worked on a similar Supply-chain project as a QA Lead, and has Supply-chain & Logistics domain knowledge.
Experience with Retail Management System (RMS)item maintenance and purchase order entry is preferred.
Experience with an Order Management System (OMS) or an eCommerce/Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) system, specifically related to customer order entry, shipment confirmations and shipping manifests (customer/commercial invoices), is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the QA team (which might include developers, business analyst, business partners during some phases of the project)
Partner with the Project Manager to develop and execute Testing Strategy for the project
Develop test plan for each phase of testing, including a detailed testing schedule
Ensure adherence to IT Project Management Methodology for Validation
Partner with the Business Analyst to review testability of requirements
Develop scenarios and test cases, and upload test cases into HP ALM tool
Co-ordinate with the offshore test team for test case design& review
Lead daily Defect Triage meetings
Track and communicate the progress of System, End-to-End Integration and User Acceptance Testing on a daily basis
Identify, mitigate, escalate and communicate defects, issues and risks
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in MIS/CIS, Engineering, Business Administration or related field (required)
6+ years experience in QA, preferably with a minimum 4 years as a QA Lead
Ability to lead project team comprised of business and IT associates with strong interpersonal skills, including collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and negotiation skillswith minimal oversight
Ability to create End-to-End test scenarios from Use cases and Solution deign documents.
Ability to create detailed test scripts based on a list of functional requirements and test scenarios with effective use of scripts from previous projects (if existing)
