Systems Engineer IV with Java

Contract: 5/19/2014 – 5/1/2015
Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organizations systems infrastructure. Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software. Monitors the performance of systems. Typically requires a bachelors degree in area of specialty and 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Works under general supervision. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
Position Specific - Technical Engineer - Services Orchestration
Responsible for design, development, configuration and deployment of the service orchestration layer for cloud based services in support of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and Private Cloud. Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post implementation support and system enhancement. Responsible for gathering, compiling and synthesizing information with regard to technology processes or systems. Provides support to production teams for Incident/Problem/Change Management, vendor escalation and troubleshooting,
Required Skills:-
Experience with industry leading orchestration toolsets and techniques particularly required is experience with VMware and Microsoft virtualization/orchestration suites. Knowledge of SOA/WebServices, JavaScript, HTML, Java and a principle understanding of software development for understanding construction of processes and system interfaces. Application knowledge of Cordys and CA and experience with Windows, Linux, Unix and MySQL desired.
