Required:-
Liasion between the various internal stakeholders & 3rd party product vendor
Identification of impacted systems and touch points - New/Modification/deletion/reuse
Choose the right integration pattern between systems
Defining the requirements for the high availability and security
Documenting As Is & To Be integration architecture blueprint
Resolving the technical challenges
Identification of alternate solutions
