Duration: long term.

 

Role Description:

The DQ/Business Analyst works closely with the Data Governance Manager and the Lead Data Stewards in executing the enterprise’s data governance strategy in terms of developing Business Glossary content and leading data quality activities.

 

Responsibilities:

•Facilitate the business Data Stewards’ development of business term definitions and associated data quality rules for the Enterprise Business Glossary

•Assist in capturing and managing business and technical metadata within online Business Glossary tool

•Investigate data element definitions and characteristics as they exist within different business applications

•Perform data quality analyses on common data elements that exist across disparate systems

•Create data lineage connections between business metadata and technical metadata within Business Glossary

•Support data quality root cause investigations and coordinate data fix activities between Data Stewards and technical teams.

•Compile and track data quality metrics via scorecards and dashboards

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Required:

•Minimum 5 years’ experience of leading data requirement elicitation and documentation activities

•Experience in creating functional designs and analyzing business processes. ( not as important )

•Experience with designing, implementing and monitoring data quality processes and procedures

•Strong background of utilizing SQL and query tools to extract and analyze large data sets

Experience with capturing contextual information about data, how it is used, and how it flows through the systems

•Sound understanding of logical data models and physical database designs.

•Familiarity with data profiling tools

 

Preferred:

•Experience in Financial Industry/Banking applications

•Experience with Informatica Business Glossary/Metadata Manager product

•Strong understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
