Possesses general knowledge of software testing and methodologies, use of debugging tools, knowledge of manual tests tools.
Strong background in portal and browser based testing.
Ability to write and implement test plans.
Creates thorough technical/functional test plans/scripts and performs software testing of end-user application development.
In an automated testing environment the Software Tester possesses strong coding and developing experience including test scripting, writing APIs and functions.
Ability to write and implement formal test plans using technical requirements and design specifications as input.
Writes automated test scripts where appropriate and assist developers to quickly determine the cause of production system problems.
Additional Experience:
* Firebug for testing web-based client/server interactions
* Familiarity with SOAP and REST based APIs
* Browser testing with IE7/8/9, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari
* Basic use and formatting of XML documents
* LDAP for authentication and other directory-type services
* Familiarity with Java/Jboss server environments a plus
