Job Title: VMware Virtualization expert
Work Location: Middletown, NJ
Duration: 12months
Must have Experience: 6-8 years
Job Description:
Virtualization: Expert in Redhat virtualization / KVM ( Kernal based Virtual Machine)
Strong understanding of virtualization concepts on the Redhat Virtualization / KVM, Experience in RAID, Multipathing and scanning storage LUNs and bringing them to OS control,LINUX Logical Volume Management(LVM),Remote server management with HP ILO, Experience in Regular network protocols like SSH, DNS, NFS, Kick start installations and centralized repositories. Performance tuning and Process management.Experience in online and offline migration,Data center operation, High Availability, cluster configurations and good understanding of these concepts, HP-Virtual Connect HP C7000, firmware upgrade and day to day maintenence operations.
Operating system: Expert in RHEL 6 or above version is mandatory
having working experience in maintaining complex Linux / Solaris is desired, VMware experience will be added advantage.Strong understanding of TCP/IP concepts, Understanding of IPv6 and experience with IPv6 implementation, Good understanding and experience on protocols – DHCP, Radius, LDAP, DNS,and Scripting knowledge Perl, shell will be added advantage, Network troubleshooting skills.
Soft Skills:
Should posses excellent communication skills as client interaction is required, should be a self learner, good team player and ability to grasp
high level instructions is very important, Develop test plans, Execute certification tests and create test reports, Improve design through testing,
Investigate new features, Lab support, Replicate and test production setup in a lab prior to deployment.
Hands on experience with testing equipment such as Spirent or IXIA is will be an added advantage.
