Here is the job description:
Seeking a Business Analyst Level III consultant for a 6 plus month assignment on-site with our direct client located in lower Connecticut. This is an on-site role. Interested candidates should have the ability to interview and work on site with the client. The client is seeking a Business with more than five years of hands-on experience within a financial services firm.
Overview of Consultant's Duties:
Responsible for partnering with business/user group representatives to understand business processes and underlying informational and/or process automation needs, then translating those needs into formal, documented business requirements.
May be responsible for prioritizing requirements based on business benefit/impact and cost.
Will be asked to develop estimates and plan resource effort.
May be responsible for identifying and tracking issues and risks related to project or system.
Will be asked to fulfil project management/governance responsibilities.
Essentially the client is seeking a professional level BA with strong operations experience in a Financial Services company. This person will be heavily involved in documentation, will be running meetings, and engage in the typical BA-type activities including conducting BRD.
Required Background:
Five plus years of experience as a Business Analyst within a Financial Services firm.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Decisive decision-making; Negotiation skills; Relationship management ; Prioritization skills; Project management lifecycle skills; Issue management resolution.
Product knowledge in the cash and payments space will be key.
This person should have previous experience with ACH and Check processing.
Must also possess a strong understanding of FX operations.
Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel), MS Project, and Visio will be important
