Title: T3-Network Support Engineer/ T2-Network Support Engineer
Location: Waltham, MA
CTH Or Fulltime
NOTE:  Be available on demand to support 

 

Mandatory Skills
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent. 

• Relevant industry experience (5+ years)

• Knowledge of Linux, Linux shell commands, TCP/IP, Web Applications, Http, Diameter protocol

• Experience in troubleshooting Network issues when issues are observed in the field, creating system utilities for troubleshooting

• Experience in quicker restore service to minimize service outage, or subscriber impact, work with Development/QA team to implement final solution.

• Experience with scripting languages like python, Perl, TCL a plus

• Experience in real time operating systems a plus 

Job Roles/Responsibilities:
• Be available on demand to support /Lead the troubleshooting exercise when issues are observed in the field

• Provide ideas to restore service as fast as possible to minimize service outage, or subscriber impact

• Work with Vendors and Verizon development/QA team to implement final resolution

• Provide feedback to engineering team to create operational improvements to the product

• Work on creating system utilities that can help in troubleshooting

• Work on creating utilities that can proactively detect issues before they are seen in the field

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science graduates with 4-7 years of experience.
