Details of Position:
*3-5 Years Experience in Microsoft SQL Server
*Support the development of business requirements and program specifications
*Assist in the creation of project timelines
*Work closely with management team to design application flow
*Create and maintain various database elements of applications
*Design and implement database scheme and process flow
*Develop, analyze and execute system test plans
*Work closely with QA group and other development teams to maintain application accuracy
*Analyze UPS data to determine necessary data constraints
*Analyze various database elements for performance related issues
*Take full ownership of applications as it relates to automating production posting cycles and communicating with the various stakeholders
*Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mgmt. Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline preferred
Management Skills:
This position involves database development and SSIS package development using
SQL Server 2005 or 2008. Desired skills are as follows:
1. Proficiency using SQL
Server Management Studio and basic knowledge of how to accomplish
administrative tasks in SQL Server.
2. Advanced knowledge of T-SQL involving the
development of queries, views, CTE's, and stored procedures. In addition, the
desired candidate needs the capability to quickly write complex queries in a timely manner.
3. Advanced knowledge of the design and development of complex SSIS packages.
4. Basic knowledge of the use of indexes and performance tuning.
5. The candidate must have a good eye for detail in that they naturally check the output of
their development efforts for accuracy.
