Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Test Automation Developer is responsible for the creation, maintenance and execution of automated regression test scripts for all Clients US' technology releases.
· Help creating a maintainable and reusable hybrid test automation framework to maximize testing ROI.
· Help to determine most suitable strategy and approaches for test automation of various applications and systems.
· Assist to establish quality assurance standards and best practices for test automations efforts.
· The individual will have the opportunity to make a direct impact by developing automation test scripts that ensure a high-quality solution.
· To provide the required domain and functional knowledge to the Test team.
· To ensure the quality and coverage of Regression testing.
· To ensure correct level of coverage by scripting the functional scenarios that needs testing.
· Participate in knowledge management process & Improve ability to reuse the test ware.
Will assist in design, extend, and optimize Test Automation Framework.
o Work collaboratively with development and other test designers on software and system design which facilitates test automation.
o Develop and manage automation test scripts across all clients US' critical systems, including end to end scenarios.
o Creates and maintains test data as needed.
o Maintains quality standards for own work, detail-oriented.
o Develop a process to maintain automation scripts and functions.
o Identify, implement, manage and report appropriate metrics.
o Work collaboratively with the Quality Assurance organization to ensure established procedures, standards and processes are utilized consistently throughout the development lifecycle.
o Develop and sustain positive relationships with peers .

o Manage the adherence and quality of all Administrative responsibilities according to prescribed timelines including:
· Performance Development Process
· Timesheets
· Information Security Training and Acceptable Use Policy submissions
o Support Quality Assurance goals
Required
· Best qualified candidate must have minimum five years of Software Test
Automation experience developing automation scripts or Software Development background.
· Excellent programming ability, with strong expertise in one or more of these: Java, .NET, C++, VBScript, VBA, Shell, PERL, API.
· Experience developing and maintaining automated test suites.
· Have written functions/re-usable actions that will be used across
all application suites.
· Experience with Descriptive/advanced programming in testing tools like QTP.
· Experience in creating test objects using multiple object repositories.
· Experience in analysing functional test cases/requirements/Business
scenarios for suitability of Test automation
· Review test scripts periodically to ensure robustness and test coverage.
· Good SQL knowledge and able to create and work with database using QTP scripts.
· Four year college degree.
· In-depth knowledge of quality management methodologies, principles, metrics and tools.
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and documentation skills.
· Excellent team player with ability to work with multiple stake holders.
· Keen eye for details and at the same time able to get the big picture.
· Excellent ability to deliver under pressure
· Solid organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, and effectively bring discussions and issues to closure
· Solid project management skills, including ability to coordinate, negotiate, schedule and communicate with all levels of staff
· Hands-on experience reviewing test documentation including strategies, plans, cases, scripts and results
Beneficial Skills
· Domain background of Banking / Credit Card industry having 6-10 years of experience
· Should have the good knowledge about the testing technicalities in banking / credit card domain scenario
· QA experience in an agile development environment (XP, FDD, SCRUM, etc.)
· Knowledge of UNIX , NT and TSYS platforms.
· Experience with Business Components in HP Quality Center.
· Experience with SOAPUI.
· Proficient with source control systems and integration of automated testing solutions with an automated build system.
· Familiarity with Java, Oracle, SQL, Web Server and an Application Server.
· QTP experience in WEB, .Net and Terminal Emulator is a plus.
· Mid-level – Senior programmer in one or more of these: Java, VBA, .NET, C# or any object oriented programming.
