SUMMERY
· A Certified AIX System Administrator with around 8 years of experience in Administration, Engineering and Development of Information Systems
· Extensive experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, design, development, implementation, and support on IBM AIX 4.3.x/5.1/5.2,5.3 SuSE 7.x/8.x /10.1& Red-Hat 6.0/7.0/8.0/EL4 Linux and Windows Operating Environments.
· Experienced in IBM RS/6000 SP System Software Maintenance
· Installed, monitored and supported WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP/ Apache Web Servers in AIX and Linux environment for various projects
· Strong scripting knowledge (Perl) to perform different administration tasks.
· Experience in Shell scripting (ksh, bash) to automate system administration jobs
· Experienced in Installing and configuring IBM ArcIMs, NetCadops, GIS and installed client software on AIX, Sun Solaris and WinNT.
· Extensive experience on monitoring tools like hp Open View (OVO).
· Experienced in Veritas Netbackup and Vertias Volume Manager.
· Administered shell interfaces, groups/user accounts, login scripts, X-Windows and kernel patches & updates.
· Proficient in archiving and backups. Using tar, pax, cpio, dd, restore and backup commands, mksysb for root volume group backup and savevg for user created volume groups backup.
· Proficient in creating, configuring and administering LPAR/DLPAR, VIOS and HMC.
· Extensive Experience in AIX System Dump Generation and sending System Dump to AIX System Support Center.
· Setup and configure LDAP servers for home directory location and authentication.
· Experienced in installation and configuration of SAMBA.
· Configured DNS, LDAP, I-planet, Apache HTTP servers.
· Extensive use of Resolved Application Startup problems, PATH problems, Name conflicts, TCP/IP and Networking Problems in AIX.
· Expertise in Planning, Installation, Configuration and Maintenance of IBM HACMP V5.3 on AIX 5.1/5.2/5.3.
· Experience in Migration of HACMP 4.3.1/4.5/5.1 to HACMP 5.4 using Node-by-Node migration without changing the cluster setup.
· Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, Ethernet), NIS, DNS, NFS, DHCP, SMTP and RAID.
· Experience as a Storage Administrator using SAN/NAS
· Experienced in MC Clariion CX300/500/600.NAS using Network Appliance R200/940/960c clustered Filer Systems
· Installed and configured a Tivoli Storage Management server on Windows 2000 that serves both Windows and UNIX machines.
· Provided production support in an on-call rotation in a 24x7 environment.
