Position Description:
The SOA Developer is responsible for leveraging J2EE, XML technologies and web services best practices to support the development, transformation and integration of new and existing systems within a dynamic SOA focused development environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Guiding SOA architecture across various development teams (Java and .Net)
Evangelizing and governing SOA design and development principles.
Help drive the process-focused SOA design across the Enterprise Architecture
Support and own the SOA architecture direction, working with the Enterprise architecture and Data architect.
This is a hands-on position that will leverage your skills as a talented software developer to deliver action oriented solutions in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, focus on results, and drive change are key to being successful in this highly visible role.
Familiarity with Java blueprints (development patterns), 5+ years of software development experience (Java and .Net preferred) with an understanding of XML, xQuery, XSLT, SOAP, REST, UDDI, WS-Security, Drools, SOA Governance, Web Services Management tools, and Service Oriented Development.
5+ years of SQL Server and Oracle DBs. An understanding of ESBs, (I.e. JBoss or Tibco) or similar platforms. Demonstrable experience in the development of Service WSDL's and XSD's. ESB Proxy WSDL's, providing mock/stubbed services as needed during development and reusable service components for both Java and Microsoft .Net technologies.
Experience working as part of a high-performance team with solid team-working skills including the ability to exhibit leadership support, and development to assist other development teammates.
Must have experience participating in enterprise architecture steering committees, and SOA process improvement teams.
Must exhibit Excellent Organizational, Communication, Presentation, and Facilitation Skills.
