Job Title : Oracle DBA
Location : Elk Grove, CA
Duration : 6+ Months Contract

 

Experienced Oracle DBA Database Administrator to fill a job opportunity in Elk Grove, CA.  Candidates need to have a minimum of 8 years experience providing 24x7 support for Production or Development environments, be Oracle certified in 10g or 11g, and a bachelor's degree with a technical major. The individual will have to be on-site in the Elk Grove, CA location for 6 months with possible extensions.

 

The Oracle Database Administrator Job Responsibilities include:
- Hand on experience in Very Large Multi-Terabyte Databases (VLDB)
- Strong SQL, PL/SQL performance tuning
- Working knowledge with stored procedures, triggers, functions, packages, UNIX shell scripting, partitioning, and indexes
- Experience in installations, configurations, administration, and tuning of Oracle 10g, 11g, and ASM for high available databases
- Experience in Oracle RAC is required and prior working experience with Exadata.
- Experience with replication technologies such as Stream Replication or Golden Gate
- Knowledge with different Backup and Recovery strategies
- Experience with maintenance such as applying DB patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
