Job Description:

Role: Senior Angular UI Developer

Location: Davenport, IA

Experience: 9+ Years

Duration: 12 Months

Detailed JD:

Mandatory Skills: Angular.JS

Preferred Skills:

• React
• Java
• Mongo
• Rest APIs
• Jenkins/CI
• Gulp/Web Pack
• Eslint
• HTML 5
• CSS
• Bootstrap
• Redux
• Perform development, enhancements, defect fixing / projects

 MUST HAVE

• Experience with debugging interactions between the front-end (the single page application) and the backend (the server) in a deployed environment
o This is critical. They should be able to explain their though process and tools for analyzing the issue that does not involve changing production code
• Can explain what basic software engineering principles are and how to use them
o ex: Encapsulation, Abstraction, Coupling, Cohesion
• Experience debugging CSS issues in multiple desktop browsers: IE, Chrome, Firefox
o They should be able to explain how. For example they could say:
§ "I open the developer tools, inspect the element, and tinker with the styles"
§ Saying that much is a sign they've at least done it before
• Experience debugging JavaScript logic in multiple browsers
• Can get node.js running on their machine (they should be able to explain how to do it)
• Knows JQuery and has basic angular experience (as in, they can give a good example of when they've used a built-in directive and a custom directive before)
• Knows what minified JavaScript and source maps are (this affects debugging in a deployed environment)

VERY GOOD TO HAVE

• Knows what a unit test is and can write a unit test in JavaScript
• Basic experience with Jenkins (DEPLOYMENT PIPELINE)
• Basic experience with build tools like grunt and gulp (DEPLOYMENT PIPELINE)
• Demonstrable experience writing whole features from scratch
o Ability to Enhance existing features a must

Nice to have skills:

• Basic React.JS experience

Misc Notes:

• Full-Stack Developer ideal but can break experiences down:
• Browser layer experience
• Back-end layer experience.

• JDSC will run on iPad (medium screen).  Not running on iPhone at this time.
