Location: Jersey City, NJ

Length: 6-12 months

Required Skills:

 

·         5+ years of overall software development experience

·         3-5 years programming experience.  Python preferred, but not required

·         Strong object-oriented design skills and strong analytical capabilities

·         Preferred Experience in Athena Platform - Athena is a next generation pricing, risk management, analysis and trade management platform.

·         1+ years of experience with SQL, database design and query optimization Demonstrated application design, analysis, development and testing experience

·         Excellent communication skills and ability to work successfully in a cross-functional environment

·         Must be passionate about delivering robust software that meets quality, product and project requirements

·         Strong teamwork, be a self-starter with ability to work independently and work on projects with minimal direct supervision

·         In addition to the requirements above, the ideal candidate will also have

·         Experience using Agile methodologies, test driven development and continuous integration

·         Knowledge of distributed compute infrastructures

·         Experience with Spark/Hadoop and big data

·         VaR, Stress tests and other risk calculation knowledge

·         Experience in developing and/or supporting 24/7 mission critical applications Financial background or knowledge is a plus
