Technically it is in Richmond, VA but the client will let this person work in any of their offices(12 of them) nationwide, Boston, NY, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Philly, San Fran, etc.  Would have to be GC holder or US Citizen and it is a contract(12 month)

Our client is looking for a Sr. Puppet Developer for their DevOps team.  Would like this person to work in Richmond, VA but you could work in any one of their 12 locations nationwide with occasional travel to Richmond. 

We are hiring a Puppet Developer to join our DevOps team.  As the lead Puppet Developer on this dynamic team you will design, write and test automation modules as a privileged administrator on Linux and Windows server.  The project will entail working within an infrastructure development team automating manual processes to prepare systems for deployment into private or public cloud. This role will take requirements from design architects and create modules within Puppet. This team develops and builds the workflow within our cloud environment.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong Full Stack Development skills
• 2-5 years of Puppet Development
• 2-5 years Linux and/or Windows system administrator and system administration automation scripting in highly regulated environment(s).
• 2-5 years' experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware
• 1 year DevOps CI/CD environment experience.  Exposure to Docker or similar Container's
• Tools: VMware automation and management tools, Configuration Management tools such as Puppet with Chef, Salt, or Ansible experience nice to have.
• Experience developing applications in .Net or Java using RDBMS technologies such as SQL Server and Oracle is desirable
