SQM Performance and Load Testing Team Performance Engineers need to have the following skills and experience:

- Performance Center 12.5 with Web/Http, TruClient, Java template protocols required

- Requirements gathering and architecture analysis skills to assess Application Team requests for Performance Testing services and determine best means of performance testing applications

- Project management skills and managing multiple priorities as every engineer will have more than one project in different stages of the SDLC

- Waterfall and Agile SDLC experience as we have a variety of projects and project methodologies

- Experience with networks, database management systems, load balancers, security and encryption methods

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for running meetings, documenting Test Plans, Test Results and Status Reports

 

Position: Guidewire Policy Center Developer

Contract: 6-12+ months to start

Must: Rating Experience-at least general experience but especially Policy Center Rating,   Integration Experience is a must.

           Configuration developers who have done a little of integrating would not work.

• Prepare design and implementation deliverables for moderate to highly complex custom developed N-tier applications, Guidewire products, and software to integrate those applications with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications under direction of IT management. Finished product must meet user functional requirements and TWIA service levels for response time and availability.
• Participate in preparing and maintaining plans to develop custom software, Guidewire products, and integration with other third party applications.
• Provide leadership, as required, to a team of programmer/analysts by resolving technical issues, establishing design, coding, and testing priorities, assigning design, coding, and testing tasks to team members, and working with management to resolve non-technical issues.
• Provide periodic status of deliverables, level of effort, and timeframes to completion.
• Provide guidance to more junior level IT personnel in software design, coding, and testing.
• Work with external consultants and developers on large scale projects.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or at least equivalent years of experience
• Must have at least 10 years of development experience
• Must have 5+ years of Guidewire experience (with a focus in Policy Center), including experience on PC v7 or later.
• Must have led one or more Policy Center inceptions.  
• Must have been part of successful go-lives of Policy Center, including one on PC v7 or later.
• Must have experience designing multi-tier web applications involving integrations, both internal and external.
• Must have the ability to conceptualize, document, and communicate high level system requirements based on business requirements.

Must be able to provide and validate high level estimates on the overall project, especially the technical components of the project.  

• Must be able to present alternative solutions to take into account non-functional requirements such as system performance, maintainability, and security.  
• Must have proven technical leadership experience as well as possess strong coding skills, especially on key, critical components of a project.
• Must have strong Java skills.

Must have a solid understanding of the following major components of the Policy Center Application framework:  Policy Center Product Model and Data Model, the Guidewire Rating Engine, and Policy Center Workflows

 

Position: Claim Center Lead Developer or Architect with Guidewire Exp.

Location:  Austin, TX

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Claim Center Lead Developer/Architect must have a strong understanding of open systems architecture including integrations with vendor packages, relational databases, message queues, web services and legacy systems.  This role will also provide the necessary software development leadership to the development team and help ensure that the architectural vision is correctly realized during the development and support the team through the release of code to production.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are the usual, basic and essential functions of the position. However, this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties by the incumbent.
