The Technology Operations is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the Enterprise Middleware Service - Monitoring Team as a Application Performance Monitoring Engineer. The team is responsible for engineering monitoring tools and solutions used by our global application and infrastructure groups. This individual will participate in application and infrastructure projects to provide monitoring expertise in identifying requirements and opportunities as well as lead the monitoring design and implementation within our monitoring tools. This individual will also participate in internal projects to implement enhanced or new monitoring capabilities to meeting our evolving technologies. We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about their job and has the expertise to succeed.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience in application availability, performance, and capacity monitoring
* Experience in the design and implementation of application and infrastructure monitoring solutions
* Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring tools
* CA APM, Artica Pandora FMS, Microsoft SCOM, EMS InCharge and HP SiteScope or equivalent experience is a plus
* Development and/or monitoring experience of applications using the following technologies is a plus: Java, .NET, WebLogic, Tomcat, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Docker, WebSphere MQ, Solace, and Hadoop
* Experience with multiple hardware and operating systems including Unix, Linux, Windows, VMWare ESX, vBlock
* Creativity and thinking outside the box
