Summary:
The core responsibility of the Senior Business Analyst is to gather and define business requirements and deliverables for Enterprise Information Management (EIM) technology solutions. The Senior BA will transform business information needs for data management and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting into manageable requirements in a cost effective and timely manner. The Senior BA will provide information for the business case, manage the requirements, translate the requirements into IT deliverables, assist with validation of the deliverables, and ensure the deliverables meet the expectations of the business.
Additional responsibilities include a mix of analytical, business process analysis, project management, and "hands-on" data analysis and troubleshooting using SQL queries. Solutions will include interacting with internal BI developers and the data management team to implement customer solutions that align with the business needs.
Fundamental Duties:
· Understand and translate business information needs into well-defined and manageable data and reporting requirements
· Work with the EIM BI team to transform the defined business requirements into reporting deliverables
· Perform quality assurance on data and BI reporting by writing SQL queries using T-SQL
· Own and develop relationship with partners, working with them to optimize processes
· Help design, document and maintain system processes for data management and reporting
· Communicate key insights and findings to Data management and BI reporting team
· Periodically review ways to improve SDLC approach, discover issues and deliver better value to the business
· Work with other team members as needed to implement solutions in a timely manner
· Assist management with prioritization of projects and establishing accurate timelines for implementation
· Develop training materials focused on end-users for various business functions
· Other duties and responsibilities performed as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Required:
· Bachelor's Degree in Business or Information Technology required
· 7+ years of business analysis experience, with some experience in a manufacturing industry highly preferred
· 5+ years of experience writing T-SQL scripts
· 5+ years of experience in data conversion from different ERPs
· CBAP certification highly preferred
· Ability to translate business requirements into IT deliverables for data management and reporting
· Excellent problem solving skills and must be adept at multitasking at times of conflicting priorities
· Strong analytical, attention to detail, and organizational skills
· Expertise in estimating the resource and development time from scoping to business deliverables
· Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
· Expertise in master data management and data governance setup is preferred
· Knowledge of Syteline ERP is highly preferred
