Our client is seeking talented Unix/Linux System Administration - Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Unix/Linux Server Infrastructure.  Individual will join a team responsible for managing the administrative the UNIX/LINUX server production environment infrastructure. 

 

Responsibilities:

·         The Unix/Linux System Administrator will be responsible for leading and managing the administrative team for the UNIX/LINUX server infrastructure.

·         Provides leadership and oversight to Active Directory and SQL Server activities.

·         Plans and manages workloads, projects, and other administrative tasks associated with the Windows Server team.

·         Provides subject matter expertise in troubleshooting all issues related to the Windows server infrastructure. 

·         The Unix/Linux SME will be assigned to the first shift. The Unix/Linux SME will be expected to participate in an on call rotation The Unix/Linux SME will be expected support night and weekend maintenance activities.

·         The Unix/Linux SME shall be expected to provide emergency response support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year within a 2 hour response.

 

Qualifications:

·         Must have a minimum of 12 years of experience administrating and managing servers and systems, specializing in UNIX/LINUX operating systems.

·         Must have experience leading technical team supporting system operations.

·         Must possess a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification or equivalent. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Have experience working with VMWare ESX infrastructures.

·         Experience with Hybrid Cloud environment

 

 

 

Note: We are Working with tier-1 Vendor.
