ROLE: Windows System Administrator

LOCATION: Columbus, Indiana, US

TYPE: CONTRACT

 

Technical/Functional Skills   -MUST HAVE SKILLS:

 

Experience in System Administration for windows 2008/2012 servers, Active directory, Ethernet and data communication, Printer setup

Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements

 

•             Install, configure and perform system administration of Windows 2008/2012 servers

•             Install and configure third party software's like Apriso FlexNet, MPI,

•             Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements

•             Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.

•             Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.  Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale

•             Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions

•             Co-ordinate with other teams on applying patches, security exceptions

•             Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.  Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required

•             Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
