Position : Mid-level Test Engineer
Locals Residents preferred (Wash DC Metro Area). Or, MUST be able to relocate to Alexandria, VA area.
Work Status: Perm Resident or US Citizen (if not US citizen, must have been working in U.S. for at least two years)
Contract Duration: Long-term
Need two references
Position Functions or Responsibilities:
- Maintain, setup, design, and configure software test environments and labs.
- Adapt easily to working in Agile & waterfall methodologies
- Create automated test script by hand using java and javascript.
- Design and implement system test and regression plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
- Develop Test Plans and build test cases and test data sets based upon the documented system requirements
- Report issues by using a formal bug tracking system and interface with the development team to help resolve bugs/issues.
- Review test cases of more junior team members to ensure adequate test coverage (positive, negative, and exception handling), adherence to coding standards, and appropriate automation.
- Experience implementing, designing, planning, and conducting comprehensive release and regression test
- Knowledge in applying test automation procedures
- Meets deadlines, achieves results, and adjusts quickly to alternating priorities
- Customer-focused
- Ability to triage issues
- Reacts well to changes
- Works independently or with teams
- Able to multi-task
- Experience with Test Complete, QTP, Selenium and or SOAP UI
Basic Qualifications:
5 years: Test Management - Test Plan Creation, Testing Life Cycle, Best Practices
2 years:
- TestComplete/QTP/Selenium
- Web-services Testing (SOAP UI/Restful API Services)
- Scripting Languages (Java/javascript/Groovy)
Note:- We are working with Tier-1 Vendor...
