Role         :         Data Scientist

Duration  :          Long Term Contract

Location   :         Detroit, MI

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         University degree in computer science, Bayesian statistics, or related fields

·         Agile Development experience

·         Development Technologies: Python, R, SQL, Spark, Pandas, Scikit learn

·         Familiarity with HAWQ and using PL/Python or PL/R to run predictive analytics in database

·         Intellectual curiosity – eagerness to learn new things

·         High ability to "data munge"

·         More than five years of experience as a data scientist, data analyst, business intelligence analyst, or equivalent roles

·         Experience with unstructured data

·         Familiarity / experience with machine learning methods including:

·         KNN

·         Random Forest

·         Ensemble methods

·         Markov Chain Monte Carlo

·         Naïve Bayes

·         PCA / PCP – singular value decomposition

·         Understanding of version control – GitHub

·         Ability to effectively visualize and communicate analysis results
