This position will create and support solutions for loading and management of data in data warehouse environment. This position will also be responsible for administering a Business Objects (BOBJ) XI 4.x environment as well as designing and developing enterprise-wide data analysis and reporting solutions using SAP Business Intelligence Suite tools. The position requires experience designing Business Objects universes and complex BOBJ reports using Web Intelligence. The position will be responsible for administering the SAP Data Services ETL tool and server installation. The position requires experience creating and maintaining data source connections and the creation and scheduling of data extraction jobs. A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, fine attention to detail, and be able to work independently with business users to develop reports and dashboards allowing them to access required data quickly, reliably and accurately. Essential Functions: - Designs and develops ETL solutions using SAP Data Services.
- Writes technical design documentation (e.g. data flow diagrams, mapping documents, etc).
- Participates in technical design sessions as a member of a project team.
- Performs research to identify source and nature of data required for ETL solutions.
- Performs testing of ETL data flows.
- ETL performance tuning, Optimization, and Code Quality
- Install, configure and upgrade Business Objects application suite; maintain patch levels.
- Monitor system performance and availability to identify and resolve performance issues tuning the Business Objects system for optimum performance. Meet with BI users to understand how they are using Business Objects and discuss performance and support issues.
- Create and maintain BOBJ security groups, folders and categories to assure only authorized personnel can access Universes. Administer security authentication of users and groups. Add, maintain & delete user accounts.
- Verify data quality and ensure that BOBJ is in-sync with the source systems.
- Design and develop Universes supporting multiple levels of hierarchies for drill down and drill across reports.
- Create Web Intelligence (WebI) ad-hoc and canned reports.
- Provide training and support to Business Objects users throughout the organization. Provide support to Power Users who develop reports for their assigned areas. Create and deliver end-user training and documentation.
- Develop and implement reporting capabilities utilizing the full SAP BI Suite.
- Create mobile Business Objects reporting through utilization of the mobile reporting server and capabilities
- Develop and maintain reporting Dashboards through the BI Suite.
- Continually monitor business needs and make recommendations for reporting and utilization of full BI Suite capabilities.
Required Skills: - 3+ years' experience developing ETL solutions using SAP Data Services
- 3+ years' experience Business Objects BI Suite administration
- 5+ years' experience in ETL and large scale Data Warehousing
- Excellent SQL & PL/SQL skills
- Ability to write technical design documentation
- Strong communication skills
- Requires Final interview onsite
