Sales Support Consultant
Seeking a highly-motivated Sales Support Consultant (SSC) comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment to solve big data problems faced by some of the world's largest companies. Our Sales Support Consultants are the primary pre and post sales technical resource responsible for providing technical expertise and consultation throughout the sales and implementation life cycle. As the customer-facing technical advisor and product advocate, the SSC oversees solution qualification, evaluation, and successful implementation. We are seeking someone who is passionate about solving challenging problems, building relationships and exceeding customer expectations. Our ideal candidate is a communicator who balances exceptional technical knowledge in the area of data management with business acumen.
What we ask:
Perform on-site or remote product demonstrations
Act as the customer's technical point of contact for product overview and capabilities, author proposals/RFP responses and manage product evaluations
Working with the sales leader, the SSC will ensure the alignment of the client objectives with our market leading suite of EIM/MDM solutions
Drive successful Proof of Concepts through technical leadership to include white-boarding to defined requirements, design, training/support and implementation of client use cases
Establish and grow strong working relationships with the client team throughout the sales and implementation process
Work in a collaborative manner with sales executives, product engineering, and third party partners
Advocate market advantages across all levels of the customer's organization, from data architect to CXO level
Act as a technical advocate on behalf of prospects and customers, provide input into the short and long-term evolution of the product's capabilities and features
What we require:
Bachelor's Degree (preferably Computer Science, Information Management, or Engineering)
Excellent communications and presentation skills
4-6 years of hands-on experience in a minimum of one of the following areas: data integration, data quality, data warehouse, ETL development, RDBMS
In-depth understanding of data profiling, data modeling, data lineage, data governance and analytics
Enterprise Information Management or Master Data Management (MDM), Meta Data Management functional or technical expertise
Ability to grasp and fuse technical challenges with business drivers
Industry experience in one of the following industry verticals is preferred, but not necessary (Financial Services, Retail, Telecom/Media or Healthcare/Pharma)
Data architecture – data modeling experience
Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of Hadoop highly desired
Professional consulting experience a plus
Willing to travel approx. 10-20% (primarily in the NE region)
