Role: Linux Admin (With Strong Puppet and Chef)

Location: Burbank, CA

Duration: 12 Months Contract

 

Must Have Skills:

 

·         Vmware experience

·         Automation tools

·         Monitoring Tools

·         Storage Experience – they have an EMC/Netapp environment and manage everything up to the network layer

·         Automating workloads

·         AWS/Virtualization since they are starting to move some workloads to the cloud

·         Puppet & Chef

 

Systems Administrator- Skillset:

 

Required Key Skills:

 

•        Linux OS (Various Flavors) knowledge

•        Configure server's via command line

•        Install/upgrade/remove packages

•        Start/stop/add/remove services 

Scripting:

 

•        Ruby, Python, JSON Preferred

•        Bash, Perl, Required

•        Read & understand existing scripts

•        Automate a multiple tasks/steps

•        Know what a variable/array/associate-array is

Preferred Key Skills:

Automation

•        Experience with Puppet, Chef or similar Automation tool

•        Create/Edit Modules/Recipes

•        Experience with Continuous Delivery and Deployment Automation methods

•        Understanding of various SDLC methodologies particularly Agile
