Our client, located in New York City, NY, is currently in need of a Unix/Linux Host Based Migration Admin for a 4+ month contract.   There will be the possibility of remote work later on and during weekend migrations to limit onsite time during off hours.  

Required Skills:

• Experience across Solaris and Linux operating systems
• Experience with Veritas VxVM, VxFS, VCS, and GCO
• Experience working in 24x7 complex, highly-secure, highly-available, datacenter environments operating within the realms of strict Change Management processes. 
• Experience with supporting Open Systems, Enterprise SAN, and NAS solutions 
• Experience with volume management and path management software tools (LVM, Native MPIO, EMC PowerPath). 
• Intermediate analysis and troubleshooting skills for the end-to-end storage and backup stack (VMs, hosts, SAN switches) 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong inter-personal skills 
• Implement change requests and meet project deliverables within defined guidelines 
• Experience with host connections across X86, Oracle/Sun, and IBM AIX Hardware
• Experience with Multipath I/O technologies
• Experience with VMware
• Familiarity with EMC storage systems (VMAX/VNX/Isilon) as it relates to host based migrations and other systems administration tasks
• Familiarity with EMC Solutions Enabler
