Job Description:-
Responsible for performing primary network system administration on network hardware and software as needed. Including but not limited to Cisco Routers & Switches.
Implement new management infrastructure for LAN/WAN/DMZ including InfiniStream, PM, DGM, Vital Net Suite, Net Scout taps, SNMP, Gigamon switches,
Cisco Works Experienced in multilayer switching, STP, VTP, VLAN, Nexus, Brocade and Gigamon switches
Responsible for the monitoring and network automation.
Provide and maintain the tools which allows to report network health and network devices. Proficient with network performance monitoring and optimization
Hands on experience with IP subnetting, Telnet/SSH Clients, Raritan or Terminal Server Remote Access, Service Now, COS, VoIP and MPLS technologies, and Cisco network software (COS/IOS), inventory/maintenance tracking and vendor support case handling; as well as with Cisco routers and Catalyst/Nexus switches, F5 load balancers and Gigamon Monitoring, planning, provisioning, managing, ongoing troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure based on Cisco routers and switches Ongoing preventative network maintenance Ensures all network systems meet or exceed the business and security requirements.
Prepares technical documentation, to include standard operating procedures and processes.
Install and configures computer networks such as local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the Internet, intranets, and other data communications systems.Maintains technical proficiency in new IT technologies; keeps abreast of industry trends, and makes recommendations to improve or advance services and system performance.
Communicates all computer network, system and service problems and outages immediately to the Network and Server Operations Supervisor and/or EITO Manager.
Assessing current network strengths and weaknesses and explaining options Responds to critical after hours support issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements: (Update as required)5+ Years of Network Support Experience2+ years of experience with GigamonAggregation technology experience, preferably Gigamon Advanced skills with Cisco (with some Juniper), ACI, CCNA preferred Cisco Routing/Switching experience Worked in a tiered application layer environment.
Network Monitor to inspect data in motion in conjunction with Gigamon.
Network Security - Firewall Administration and Engineering Possess advanced, subject matter expertise in IP-based network and telecommunication system design, administration, and support, preferably Cisco.
Problem Solving, LAN/WAN Knowledge, Proxy Servers, F5, SDN, ACI, Network Design and Implementation, Network Troubleshooting, Network Hardware Configuration, Network Performance Tuning, Must be willing to work hours outside of a regular schedule.
Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearances.
