Location      : Alpharetta, GA

Duration     : 6+ Months

Rate             : Market           

 

Technical Skills & Knowledge:  

 

Primary Skills: .NET/VBA, desktop development, VSTO

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Strong desktop development skills with ability to work independently with minimum supervision

• Software development experience with expertise in C# and VB.net.

• Knowledge of office objects model and exposure to excel development.

• Excel VSTO C# add-in development (assumes knowledge of Office object module)

• Knowledge of VSTO - Visual Studio Tools for Office.

• Strong SQL development(Preference 2014) ; Stored procedures and views and performance query tuning and experience with data sets in C#. Understanding of SQL administration a plus

• Robust troubleshooting and analytical skills with strong collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills.

• Understand and critically evaluate systems end-to-end for strengths, weaknesses, impacts and improvements.

• Expertise and knowledge in Agile engineering practices (Continuous Integration, TDD).

• Experience working with code repositories like TFS

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of LINQ/ADO.NET/Entity Framework

• Experience with Excel development.

• Exposure to VB and macro.

• Multi-threading and service level application design and creation

• Experience with continuous integration build systems (e.g. TFS, MSBuild, Jenkins)

• Understanding of Agile methodology

• MINIMUM of 3 years continuous development experience or 7 years intermittent experience
