Job Title     :         Tableau Developer

Location     :          Columbus, OH

Duration     :          6 + Months

Rate            :          $45/hr

 

Job Discription:

Minimum five 5+ years' experience in Business Intelligence and data warehousing including:

• Understanding of predominant data warehouse architectures

• Excellent SQL skills primarily on the Oracle and Vertica platform

• Excellent data analysis / profiling skills

• Ability to lead conversations with both business SMEs and technical teams

• Experience working on an Agile development team

Minimum three (3+) years Tableau experience and a significant role in at least two end-to-end Tableau enterprise implementations including:

• Hands On experience with implementation of Tableau dashboard creation, writing VizQL, developing filters and Toggles, Tableau's JavaScript API.

o Establishing governance processes to organize and manage workbooks and data sources with Vertica

• Establishing and socializing best practices in Tableau dashboard design and implementation

• Establishing a sustainable Tableau security scheme in concert with corporate security policies and platforms

• Identifying and resolving significant Tableau performance issues

• End user training and support

• Experience providing application development team leadership and subject matter expertise

Demonstrated General Qualities:

• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, developing alternative solutions

• Respond promptly to customer needs while managing competing priorities and meeting commitments

• Speak clearly and persuasively in group or individual situations, while maintaining the ability to actively listen and adjust communication approaches as appropriate. Write clearly and informatively.

• Detail orientation and desire for accuracy and thoroughness, while also having the judgement to know what is good enough for a given business purpose

• Organization and drive to accurately plan, estimate, and update progress on assigned work

• Easily shift between working independently and collaboratively

• Thrive in complex, fast-paced development environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Tableau Certified Professional is must

• Familiarity with SSIS and BIML

• Experience with other BI / Reporting tools such as SSRS, Business Objects, Cognos, etc.

• Statistics / predictive analytics

• HealthCare industry experience

• Familiarity with Data Science

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related technical program, or equivalent professional experience
