Job Title : Lab Test Engineers

Location :  Concord, CA

Duration : Contract

 

Job description:

3-5 years prior experience working in the role

Familiarity with standard laboratory test equipment (to measure temperature, fluid flow, voltage, current)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to operate semi-independently (i.e. to take general direction from Subject Matter Experts (SME) and to translate that into prescriptive test protocols and test scripts)

Prior experience in a formal test environment (either medical device, pharma or aerospace) is a plus

Ability to operate in a fast-paced multi-functional team environment is a must

Moderate competency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel)

 

Key responsibilities for assigned requirements to be verified include:

Understanding the stated requirement

Understanding the context of each environment (i.e. in what machine phase is the stated requirement active)

Review prior similar legacy test protocols for reference (and to leverage these to the maximum extent possible)

Propose a test design to verify that design output(s) meet the stated requirement

Drive the test design review with the SME

Create the detailed test protocol

Dry-run the test protocol

and subject the test protocol for review by SMEs

Oversee execution

Draft the protocol test report summarizing the test results.

 

Location:

Predominantly on-site in Concord (because of the intensive hands-on interaction with the finished medical device "units under test")

Some limited work may be performed remotely (i.e. authoring the test report)
